Classical Guitar (Concert Guitar)

Lessons on the concert guitar offer a variety of possibilities for the student.
"Classical guitar " does not mean that only classical music can be played and learned. On the contrary, the classical technique opens up a wide variety of possible musical styles for the student to play: Pop, folk, flamenco, Latin American music, classical music, ...

Basic training

In the beginning there is the basic technique of classical guitar playing: posture, playing technique, tuning the guitar, etc.
The necessary reading of notes, however, one learns - unlike what many "fear" - as if by magic. In the lessons, more notes are gradually played and thus more reading is learned.
After playing in unison, the next step of playing in two voices with bass tones soon follows, which immediately takes the sound to a completely different level!

What happens then?

After the basic training we finally move into the extensive literature of the classical guitar. In class we will work on pieces in a variety of styles in order to experience the diversity of guitar music. Often students discover styles as favorites for themselves that they did not know before!

It is then also possible to get a first taste of the flamenco game, for example, or to work on pop or folk songs in the so-called "fingerstyle".

Advanced students

If you come to me as an advanced guitarist, we can also work on pieces of very high difficulty - I will gladly give you "the finishing touches" on prepared pieces or we can start a new piece from scratch and consider the optimal fingerings and playing techniques for the demanding pieces!

Often the technique is viewed in isolation from the musical performance of a piece. Instead, it is precisely this interplay that is important for a high-quality interpretation of the musical pieces!
